LARISSA LAM is a former Chief Financial Officer of a record company turned award-winning singer-songwriter, filmmaker and TV/radio host.  An accomplished musician, Larissa has released four solo albums and has captivated audiences at venues such as Staples Center, Lincoln Center and The Grammy Museum. She previously composed music for The Oprah Winfrey Show among other film, TV and video game projects. Her song “I Feel Alive” won the Hollywood Music in Media Award for Best Dance Song. For nine years, she hosted a weekly talk show, “Top 3,” on JUCE TV and hosted, Utalk Radio, an advice talk show for young adults.

Larissa has also won numerous awards for directing the award-winning feature documentary, Far East Deep South, about Baldwin Chiu’s family and Chinese immigrants in Mississippi during segregation. The film has won the Best Documentary Audience Awards at CAAMFest, Cinequest Film Festival and Philadelphia Asian American Film Festival as well as Best Mississippi Feature at the Oxford Film Festival.  She was a contributor author sharing her family stories in “Miso for Life” and “Kim Chi for Life” in the “A Melting Pot of Thoughts” book series. Additionally, Larissa has spoken on issues of empowerment, diversity in media and the immigrant experience to audiences at TEDx, Yale, MIT and more. She is a native of Diamond Bar, CA and graduated from UCLA with a degree in Business Economics.

ONLY WON aka Baldwin Chiu is a socially conscious Hip-Hop artist who raps about unconventional subjects like Dim Sum & thermodynamics. He has performed all over the U.S. and caught the attention of the White House during the Obama administration with his clever music videos like “I Wanna Be an Engineer” (a parody of “Billionaire”). As a result, he became a spokesperson for the Intel campaign, “Stay With It,” promoting careers in science and engineering.

Only Won’s songs were featured in the video game “Sleeping Dogs” and the film “Dead Man Down” starring Colin Farrell. Recently, he has branched out into filmmaking and produced the award-winning documentary films, Finding Cleveland, and its sequel, Far East Deep South, about finding his Chinese roots in Mississippi. His family’s story has previously been featured on NBC News, PBS and NPR. He was born in San Francisco and grew up in Sacramento, CA. He is also a professionally licensed mechanical engineer and an actor who has appeared in films such as The Pursuit of Happyness, The Hulk and The Matrix.
